CS2GUESSER

How to play CS2Guesser

Four puzzles reset together at 00:00 UTC: weapon skins, knives, gloves and a price challenge. Everyone starts with the same daily selection. Choose a tab and submit your own answer; there is no multiple-choice list.

Identify a finish in six attempts

Name rounds begin with the item type and an approximate main color. For example, an AK-47 clue identifies the weapon, not the finish. A color alone is deliberately ambiguous: several finishes can share black or red. Use each new clue to narrow your next guess.

  1. After the first miss, the full stored color palette appears.
  2. After the second miss, you see the number of words in the finish name.
  3. After the third miss, you see its count of letters and digits, excluding spaces and punctuation.
  4. After the fourth miss, the first character appears.
  5. After the fifth miss, an alternating-character mask reveals part of the name.

A worked clue example

For AK-47 | Redline, the finish is “Redline”: one word, seven letters, beginning with R. The partial-name clue is “R _ d _ i _ e”. Black and red support the clue, but are not unique identifiers. A good approach is to combine the weapon, palette and word shape rather than rely on the color alone. This example is illustrative and is not a hint about today's answer.

What counts as an answer?

Enter the finish name, such as “Redline”, or its full item name, such as “AK-47 | Redline”. Matching ignores capitalization, accents and punctuation. A different weapon with the same finish is not accepted as a full item name; use the finish alone or the correct full name. Typographical errors are not automatically corrected.

A new nonempty answer uses one attempt even if the finish does not exist. Empty, punctuation-only, duplicate or overlong answers are rejected without taking a guess. Once you solve the puzzle or use all six attempts, the round is locked and its answer breakdown becomes available.

Guess the price

The price tab shows the item and quoted wear condition before you guess. Enter a positive USD amount with at most two decimal places; “125.50” and “$125.50” are accepted. Each incorrect guess shows whether you need to go higher or lower, and its percentage distance from the target.

For an example target of $100, amounts from $95 through $105 win. A $120 guess is 20% above the target: (120 − 100) ÷ 100 × 100. Calculations use cents, and the 5% tolerance is rounded down to a whole cent. See the price guide for wear, source dates and limitations.

Daily progress, streaks and sharing

Each mode has its own win streak. Winning on consecutive UTC dates extends it; an unfinished current day does not break yesterday's streak yet, but a loss today does. Attempts and streaks are stored in this browser. Clearing site data, switching browsers or playing on another domain creates a separate history.

Share results contain a score and spoiler-free squares. They do not expose the finish or target price.

Archive practice

The archive lets you select a previous date and mode. Its attempts are kept separately from daily progress, and replaying an archived round never earns a daily streak. You can restart an archive round. Archive dates use the published catalog rotation and dated price snapshot, not historical market prices from each chosen date.

Where the clues come from

The catalog currently contains 250 weapon skins, 150 knives and 94 gloves. Item identities and artwork references come from the CSGO-API catalog; original artwork belongs to Valve. Color labels are approximate, drawn from curated labels and rendered-image colors. Lighting, pattern and wear can make an in-game item look different. Doppler phases are grouped rather than offered as separate answers.
